FOR EVERYONE
Have you ever questioning whether is yoga for my body type ? Have you curious why and where it is all about ? Yes, because what we see all over the media. I feel there's a bit of anxiety of us wondering that yoga is for an advance or experienced acrobatic. It always happens especially for the beginner. Well, i have a big point after this but i want to highlight that YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE, not limited to any body types or mental conditions. It also not ages, kids to older are welcome. What i love the most about yoga that it is not segmented, it is meant for all human nature. Yes, if you read deeper about book Light on Yoga, BKS Iyengar, there are rules and stages. It's like building a house, you will have a good house when you have a good foundation right ? and there are rules what's your wall are made to prevent the leak.
ABOUT STRETCHING
I have been doing yoga for 7 years. What i learn the most is about stretching and this is the BIG POINT. It's like yawning when you are sleepy and you feel the stretch on your mouth or stretching your body after deep sleep. When we stretch, we stretch muscle, just like a rubber. When we regularly stretch, the muscles is become more flexible and stiffness will go away. Our body part has its own good purposes and work properly, when we don't use our leg to walk then it will be disfunction and become stiff and that's we want to avoid. When we stretch a little bit everyday especially in the morning, we will feel big relieve and alive, the blood will run smoothly in the vessel then go through our body, that's why we feel very healthy. STRETCH BUT NOT STRESS.
A SELF DISCOVERY
We are growing. We are different. We have our own purpose. We have our life journey. That's all the facts that we have to accept first before and while doing yoga. Why ? because yoga is NOT A SPORT. It is a life journey. It's not a competition. There's no medal or a prize for the winners. Yoga is our own achievement. Yoga is the way to know our self better. What i learn is there are many types of yoga that we can choose which one that suitable depends our body and mental condition and needs. For example, Yin yoga is good for stretching pose with long period. Vinyasa yoga is good to build strength and more dynamic. We know that yoga is doing some poses, some easy and others difficult BUT we have to realize that we have different structure hence let the poses comes to our body not the other way. If you feel not comfortable, you can adjust following your body structure, don't deny it, just embrace. EVERYONE IS UNIQUE
LIFE, HEAL, PEACE
First time, i don't realize what yoga is for, my motivation is to routinely exercise. After a while, i realize there so much progresses happens when i didn't expect that. I feel more attached with myself, more alive. I found out in the book Light on Yoga BKS Iyengar, that each poses has its own benefit. It's amazing to know that you can be a healer right ? Just twist your body when you are backache, just lying on savasana when you're headache. Yoga is linked with breath. Breath is to clear our mind, breath is to maintain our focus, breath is to clean the blood. Yoga is also about life, it teach us how to control our body and mind but also how we live everyday, it's about what we eat to maintain our balanced life.
YOGA IS BEAUTIFUL.
